These values can be found printed on the side of the device.

Make sure the VLAN is entered in both the Allowed Access VLANs list and on the individual Port VLAN setting.

The switch management VLAN will need to be entered in the Port VLAN field, even if the port is set for all tagged traffic.  In this example, VLAN 1740 is the management VLAN.

Switch ports that are part of the ring need to have STP Enabled boxes checked next to the appropriate port on the MSTP–>CIST Ports screen, and the port must have the switch management VLAN listed in the Port VLAN field of the ring ports, even if the port is set as a Trunk port with Egress Tagging set as Tag All.

Step 1: Check the network cable in use. Does the cable show you have data link lights on the switch? If so, continue.
Step 2: Check the network settings of the computer in use. The network settings should be in the same range as the default IP, but not the default IP. If so, continue.
For example:
192.168.0.100
255.255.255.0
Step 3: Open a command prompt and type ping 192.168.0.1. If you get a reply like below, clear your browser cache and try to access again. If you do not get a reply like below, it is likely that the switch has already been configured. (Continue to Step 4)
For example:
C:\Users\pc>ping 192.168.0.1 (hit enter)
Pinging 192.168.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Step 4: Factory default the device by locating the reset button on the face of the switch and pressing the button for 15 seconds using a paper clip. Once completed try Step 3 again.

Step 1: Locate the pin reset button on the face of the switch.
Step 2: Use a paper clip or small pick to press the reset button for 15 seconds.
Step 3: Once complete, access the switch with default access information and save the configuration.
Step 1: Click factory default at the bottom of the menu tree, and if desired, select to keep IP or user/password.
Step 2: Save the configuration.
To correct the issue, power cycle the switch to revert to the previous configuration. When VLANs are changed on the switch, one port must be left the same as the management VLAN to maintain connection to the switch. Once the management VLAN is changed, move the cable to a port with the management VLAN is configured. The port with the unwanted VLAN can now be changed.
The management VLAN is located under Basic Settings –> IP Settings.
Note: If you change the management VLAN before the port VLAN, you will lose access to the switch.
Ensure you can access the device directly with a PC or laptop
In Global VLAN Configuration, make sure allowed access VLANs at the top of the page shows desired VLAN.
Check the port that the device is plugged into is configured as access port with desired VLAN configured in the Port VLAN field and allowed VLANs.
Check adjacent switch for correct configuration.
Check adjacent switch has LLDP capability.
Check that the local switch and adjacent switch have the management VLAN set as the port VLAN on the trunk/connecting port.
Ensure STP is enabled on trunk ports. Located at (Redundancy –> MSTP –> CIST Ports)
Check that the local switch and adjacent switch have the management VLAN configured in the port VLAN field on the trunk/connecting port.
Step 1: Uncheck snooping enabled and save.
Step 2: Save the configuration.
Step 3: Reboot the switch.
VLAN 1 will not show up in IGMP Snooping until added again.

Change the default user and password.
Enable SSH and Disable Telnet
-To disable Telnet, select (Basic Settings –> Auth Method) then select the no from the drop-down next to telnet.
Enable HTTPS with redirect.
There are advanced features to further help secure your network. Security is based on the design and procedures put into place.
-Access Management
-IP Source Guard
-ACLs
-Radius Authentication
-Syslog

Yes, you can still access the switch.
Click Advanced and if you understand the risk and accept, click the Accept the Risk and Continue button.
It’s more secure than without HTTPS. HTTPS allows the data to be encrypted so others cannot snoop it in plain text. The switch gives a self-signed certificate that looks the same as any nefarious actors self-signed certificate. However, the data being encrypted is better than the data not being encrypted. Enabling HTTPS makes more work for the nefarious ones and keeps the honest, honest.
Enable snooping and unregistered IPMCv4 flooding under IGMP Snooping Configuration. (Multicast –> IGMP Snooping –> Basic Configuration)
By default, VLANs are added to IGMP Snooping VLAN Configuration upon startup after adding VLANs in VLAN membership. (Multicast –> IGMP Snooping –> VLAN Configuration)
If there are VLANs that are not desired, uncheck snooping enabled then click save –> save configuration –> system reboot

Hardened Networks V3 switches have a running-config (the current configuration running), a default-config (the factory default configuration), and a startup-config (the configuration that loads upon startup). If you have not saved your current running configuration after making changes, your running-config and startup-config will differ.

Camera Questions

If it is a VG5-1080×6 (7000i), then it can be reset via a reset terminal inside the dome. Please see the video below:

By default, DHCP is pre-set at the factory to on, so your DHCP server assigns an IP address. With no DHCP server, the default address is 192.168.0.4.
Bosch periodically changes the default IP address. To quickly access the camera, download Bosch Configuration Manager from the link below. Bosch Configuration Manager can be used on a local network to find and assign an IP address to the camera.
